Developing Teaching Competency Scale in Non-Formal Post-Secondary Education

This study introduces a validated Teaching Competency Scale (TCS) designed for non-formal post-secondary educators in Myanmar. Drawing on responses from 491 students and alumni across Chin, Kachin, Karen, Karenni, and Shan States, the research identifies a reliable four-factor model covering assessment skills, learning stimulation, subject mastery, and teacher personality. With strong psychometric results, the TCS offers a practical, evidence-based tool for evaluating and strengthening teaching quality in non-formal education programs.
