The Level Up College (LUC) Alumni Network was formed in 2013 after the first batch of students successfully graduated from the academy. The alumni network was initially established with graduates from Batch 1, aiming to strengthen connections among alumni from the first batch to the most recent.
To ensure effective management and coordination, the alumni select a new Alumni Committee once per year. This committee is responsible for leading alumni activities, including organizing monthly meetings and conferences. During these meetings, committee members discuss and share updates on alumni networking activities they have implemented. They also strategize and plan for future initiatives to enhance alumni engagement and collaboration.
One of the key contributions of the alumni network is providing financial support to current students who face challenges in paying monthly fees and food costs. This is facilitated through an alumni contributions fund, which ensures that students in need receive the necessary assistance.
Looking toward the future, the alumni network aspires to evolve into a formal organization, such as a Civil Society Organization (CSO) or a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO). Many alumni members have already gained experience working with local partners and are actively engaged in organizations, including CSOs, NGOs, INGOs, and UN agencies. Their collective experience and involvement in project activities position the alumni network as a potential driving force for community development.
The Alumni Conference is held once or twice a year, either in person, online, or in a hybrid format. During this event, new committee members are recruited from each batch of alumni who participate in the conference. The conference agenda typically includes discussions on scholarship opportunities, job openings, and career guidance. Alumni members share job announcements from various sources, exchange insights on work experiences, and support each other’s professional growth.
Beyond networking and career development, alumni members actively contribute by offering advice, financial aid, and material support to the committee, the College, and teachers. Additionally, the alumni network maintains a data tracker, collecting and updating information about alumni members to facilitate better engagement and coordination.
Through the collective efforts, LUC Alumni continues to grow as a strong and supportive network, fostering lifelong connections and contributing to the College’s development and the broader community.
